At 2157 Sherburne was activated for a commercial structure fire at Purdy and Sons Meat Processing in the far reaches of Sherburne's district.  9 minutes after 911 received the call Engine 284 had traveled the 6 miles to the scene and arrived placing a handline in service and making an aggressive interior attack on the fire.  287 along with mutual aid from New Berlin FD arrived and went to work as the truck company working the truss framed attic area to ensure no fire extension.  The fire was quickly knocked down and confined to the room of origin.  It was determined that a large oven was the seat of the fire that was caused by a slow cooking ham falling onto a heating element. All units were clear in less then an hour, 280 held the command.
